Additionally, I have worked as recording and mixing engineer for the soundtracks for a variety of Colombian films.
I have been actively involved with the Audio Engineering Society, being part of its board of governors between 2023 and 2024, helping develop and run its Latin American chapter and helping organize different regional conferences. In 2012, I was awarded the AES Board of Governors Award for my work helping organize the 4th AES Latin American Conference in 2010.

I have participated in different courses, seminars and workshops, and have worked and directed recording sessions in different studios such as The Banff Centre (Banff, Canada), Galaxy Studios (Mol, Belgium) and Skywalker Sound (California, United States). I graduated from McGill University with a M.Mus. in sound recording and from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá with a B.M. in sound engineering.
